A difference between Blackboard and the Lifelong Learning platform is the possibility of interaction between students. You can attach a place for discussion in each learning activity and also use a discussion forum as a learning activity. This great feature does require some other teacher skills, namely moderation skills. Here are some general tips to get you started:
For more moderation suggestions see this training course How to design my education on the Lifelong Learning platform.
Technical problems may occur during the course, for example problems with registering, starting up a video or submitting assignments or giving peer feedback.
You can send an email to lllplatform-support@uu.nl for direct help and support.
When evaluating an online course, a digital evaluation form is used. The link to this form is created by the quality assurance department and sent to the course coordinator.
This link can be included in the course environment at the end of the course so that students can fill out the form directly online.
Go to https://teacherguidelifesciences.nl/teaching-course/registering-course-results for more information.
Once the course and assessment procedure has been completed, the course including user data (participation in discussion forums, submitted products, etc.) will be archived. A copy of the course will be made as next edition. Archiving and copying of the course is done by a key-user of the Lifelong Learning platform.
Before the course starts again, adjustments can be made to the course based on evaluation results or based on educational or technological innovations.
